Argireline

Argireline

Argireline has been labled as the safe alternative to Botox.  Its claimed to do a similar job in that it relaxes the muscles in the face by reducing the amount of a particular chemical in your skin that causes tension.  The idea is that when your facial Argirelinemuscles are relaxed, fewer wrinkles are visible.  However, this assumes that Argireline can penetrate as far down the layers of your skin, that a Botox injection can.  Is this possible?  Many scientists say no, it is not possible.  However, there is also a study to indicate that it DOES produce results with as much as 30% improvement in wrinkle appearance after 30 days.  The other big advantage is that Botox can only be applied to certain areas of your face, whereas Argireline can be applied all over with the exception of the eye area.  It also has none of the toxic effects associated with Botox.  Note that Argireline is manufactured in Spain and is actually an ingredient in several different anti-aging creams.   Our research told us that if we want to see results, we need to look for a product with at least a 10% concentration.

Features

  • Claims to take the place of Botox as an entirely safe alternative
  • Inhibits the chemical that causes facial tension, and so has a relaxing effect on the muscles (this is what Botox injections do)
  • Is the main active ingredient in a number of wrinkle creams, price varies
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Often combined with Hyularonic acid which acts as an intensive moisturizer as well as helping the Argireline to penetrate the skin

Benefits and Results

For our Argireline wrinkle cream review, the product we chose actually has a 20% concentration of Argireline plus a 12% concentration of Hyaluronic acid. This was the highest amount of active ingredients we could find, apart from products designed for acne but not as an anti-aging cream.  We ordered ‘Golden Serum’ through Amazon and got a free gift which was a sample of eye wrinkle cream.  Unfortunately the results were disappointing.  Even after two months of using the Argireline product, we saw virtually no difference at all in wrinkle appearance.  However there was definately a ‘tightening’ effect and we could feel it, but it wasn’t dramatic enough to make our skin look any younger. Not to jump to conclusions too quickly, we decided to try another Argireline wrinkle product.  This time we ordered Youth Serum from Amazon, also with 20% Argireline, but also with another active ingredient, Ubiquinone.  This time we had better results and saw a definate decrease in wrinkle depth after about 6 weeks.  Plus there was more of a tightening effect with this product.  Overall we were fairly pleased with the Youth Serum

What sort of results are others getting? Well there are quite a few reviews and testimonials and most of those are either fairly positive, or neutral, with a few customers saying that they’ve seen significant differences in their wrinkles.  Most customers have had results of some sort, even if it’s only softer skin.  But we also found information to suggest that some people with sensative skin may have a reaction to Argireline.  Additionally some users report that all they feel is a slight numbing sensation for a few seconds but nothing else, no results at all, even after 3 months or more of using the products.

Plus’s

  • Claims to be a safer alternative to Botox
  • Can actually increase the life span of Botox injections by up to 50%
  • Not too expensive for a high end product
  • Excellent customer service when buying through Amazon
  • Has a smoothing and tightening effect for some users
  • Can be purchased through trusted sources

Minus’s

  • Not suitable for the delicate skin around the eyes.
  • Appears to work for some people but not others
  • Need at least 6 weeks use, probably longer before knowing if you will have results or not
  • Some studies show that Argireline is not suitable for use during pregnancy

Conclusion

We would not purchase Argireline again ourselves as it’s not of the same calibre as some of the other products in our wrinkle cream reviews.  Having said that, you may have better results because as mentioned, it’s one of those things that seems to work for some and not others.  We did not find any clear refund policy either for the products we tested. Unlike others we reviewed that have 30 day or even up to 90 days to request a refund, there was nothing like that available for any of the high concentration Argireline products.  So to conclude, this is one anti-aging product that may have to try for yourself in order to see if it works for you or not!
